Our toolbox

Cross Cultures uses a range of specific measures in our efforts to promote tolerance, peace, equality and social cohesion in post conflict countries. Our aim is to contribute to the normalisation of every-day life by using children's grassroots sport as tool to build friendships and sport cooperation between people living in divided communities.

In brief our key measures are to build local platforms through the involvement of children, local volunteers, sponsors and stakeholders; we ensure that our activities are fun, open and meaningful; we support gender equality; we consider sustainability in terms of social responsibility, civil society engagement as well as financial and organisational basis; and we trust in bottom-up processes to achieve all this.

With the child in the centre, it is our vision to bring all stakeholders into play. When we organize activities for children, we wish all the stakeholders to have a place and exercise a function: When we activate the children the stakeholders circle like planets around the sun in a Children's Grassroots Football Universe.
